Next generation Photon Detector technology launched

Anritsu Ltd has launched a range of brand-new class-leading inspection equipment which significantly improves contaminant detection and surpasses strict worldwide hygiene protocols.

First, the XR75 DualX+ is the latest innovation from Anritsu. DualX+ is a next generation Photon Detector technology, with specific algorithms for fish and poultry too – the images are meaningfully sharper, delivering superior detection capabilities and lower false rejection rates. Contaminants on the targets are clearly displayed and identified by the shadows they cast and foreign bodies are more readily identified too, even ones that are smaller and thinner in shape, such as small fish bones, small poultry bones and fine metal fragments.

The human costs associated with missing a contaminant in food can be considerable to everyone involved and the thorough production line inspection equipment that Anritsu provides is vital to the food industry across the world. Poultry and fish bones can be miniscule, so the inspection equipment needs the highest sensitivity, and that is what Anritsu has delivered with this new machinery.

Another new Anritsu invention to be launched is the IP69K sanitary x-ray. Built in the ever-popular XR75 platform, it offers the XR75’s reliability, ease of use and low cost of ownership in a robust, compact footprint. This hygienic solution with IP69K IP rating is specifically designed for inspection systems that go in the processing area of a production line – as opposed to the packaging area. The new machines were unveiled at this year’s Interpack.

The SSV Combo CW and RJ’s plug-and-play nature with x-rays and metal detectors simplifies usage across Anritsu equipment. The range offers noteworthy features and benefits to food manufacturers and meets the new requirement from leading supermarkets to not only spot contaminants but confirm that they’ve been removed. With this evidence-based contaminant removal, the equipment range will provide customers with all the proof their company needs that contaminants have been fully eradicated and they are producing the safest products available on the market.

Said Michael Stuart, European Sales Director, Anritsu: “A new product launch is always an exciting time for any company. Anritsu is a global trendsetter with our innovative new machines being available to the market for the very first time. We aim to deliver for our customers and make their profit margins soar in 2023, thanks to these new solutions that are far and away more outstanding than those of our competitors. As a company we enjoy a long, storied and global history, and we are set to have a bright future with our technological development and breakthroughs. And we hope our customers feel the same, and continue on the journey with us together through the use of these unrivalled machines.”  For more visit anritsu.com
